Jasmine Sambac

Botanical name : Jasminum Sambac

 The long, climbing stems of Jasminum Sambac bear white, fleshy flowers that exude a heady jasmine fragrance with animalic notes. The flowers are picked by evening, when their enchanting fragrance is at its most intense, because these blossoms open at evening and close in the morning. Jasmine sambac is intimately tied to Asian traditions and history and is a symbol of purity, eternal love, and nobility.

Among the many varieties of jasmine, Jasminum Grandiflorum is used in making fine fragrances. Jasmine is a climbing vine renowned for the exquisite scent of its pink-tinged white flowers. When they bloom in late summer, the fields give off a characteristic sweet, flowery odor. The fragile flowers must be picked before dawn and quickly processed to make concretes and absolutes.

Commonly referred to as Champak in English, Champaca is an evergreen tree native to Southeast china, it has naturalized to India, Indonesia, Thailand and other Southeast countries. It known for its fragrant flowers. Jean Patou’s famous perfume, 'Joy' the second best selling perfume in the world after Chanel No. 5, is derived in part from the essential oils of Champaca flowers.

Frangipanis are relatively small trees growing only to about 5-6m in height, but what they lack in height they make up in width often becoming as wide as they are tall. Frangipani flowers appear in clusters, also at the end of the branches, and are distinctively scented. The petals are waxy with the centre of the flower a different colour to the rest. The most common frangipani has white flowers with a yellow centre. There are many varieties ranging from deep crimson to orange , yellow and white (and every shade in between).

The mimosa is a very ornamental evergreen shrub or small tree that we appreciate for its winter flowering, in yellow and fragrant glomeruli, like acacia dealbata, commonly called winter mimosa. In Latin, the mimosa is called acacia. The plant belongs to the fabaceae family.

It is a stunning, small climbing bushy plant with simple ovate dark green small leaves and powdery satin white flowers. Leaves are opposite, ashy-velvety, sometimes hairless, simple or trifoliolate

Primary Constituents : Main chemical constituents of Vetiver Essential Oil are: Sesquiterpene Hydrocarbons (Cadinene), Sesquiterpene Alcohol derivatives, (Vetiverol, Khusimol), Sesquiterpene Carbonyl derivatives (Vetivone, Khusimone), and Sesquiterpene Ester derivatives (Khusinol Acetate). The main constituents that are known to influence the aroma are α-Vetivone, β-Vetivone, and Khusino
